Interterm 2009 Registration Opens |

Registration for Interterm 2009 courses is now available.
Eight courses are available this January, including a practical ministry simulation (offered through the Summit Center), two D.Min.-only courses, four standard M.A./M.Div.-level courses, and a study trip to Israel. The list of available courses may be viewed here. Students wishing to register for a course should print the PDF registration form and return it to the seminary office by one of the methods indicated at the bottom of the form.

Regional Alumni Fellowship Held in Clearwater, Florida |

Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary hosted its first regional alumni fellowship in Clearwater, Florida, Tuesday, September 23. Twenty-two alumni and wives were in attendance. Attendees included several of graduates who teach at Clearwater Christian College as well several others who are planting the Gathering Pointe Church in Pasco County, Florida.
Representing the seminary was the seminary's president, Dr. Sam Harbin, as well as Old Testament Instructor Peter Radford. The dinner was hosted at the Macaroni Grill.
The seminary anticipates similar events in places that are home to clusters of alumni. Alumni interested in suggesting a regional alumni event are invited to do so by

CBTS 2009 Israel trip announced |

Registration for the seminary's 2009 Israel study tour closes on October 7, 2008. The 12-day trip is led by Dr. Jeff Tuttle and retired CBTS professor, Dr. Gordon Lovik, does the guiding and teaching. The tour is coordinated through the Jerusalem Center for Biblical Studies. The study tour is scheduled for January 5-16, 2009, and will cost $2,899 with departure from New York City. More information about the tour is available by contacting Dr. Tuttle by

Armed Forces Chaplains Board designates Calvary as an approved RMP-producing institution |

The United States Armed Forces Chaplains Board on October 31st, 2007, designated Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary as an official RMP-producing (Religious Military Personnel) institution, effective for all graduates between July 5, 2005, and July 6, 2010.
Designation as an RMP-producing institution allows graduates of Calvary who pursue a chaplaincy career in the United States military to be recognized as coming from an approved educational institution. |

Summit Center to launch local church seminars |

Starting this year, the Summit Center will begin scheduling tax and leadership seminars in local churches regionally. Led by experienced church and business leaders, the Summit Center brings the seminary's training and consulting ministries directly to local churches across the nation.
