Holy Land StudiesCalvary Baptist Theological Seminary plans a 12-14 day study tour to Israel each year, usually in January. Groups, which often include laymen as well as CBTS students, spend four nights in Galilee and six nights in Jerusalem. In both locations the groups make day trips in the surrounding countryside to study Bible geography, history, culture, and archaeology. One to four credits may be earned through a combination of the practical experience of the trip and supplemental academic work. Information can be obtained and arrangements made through the Director of Holy Land Studies, Dr. Jeff Tuttle. Missions InternshipsThe seminary offers courses blending academic work with practical experience on foreign mission fields, courses that are recommended to all students considering missions. These courses typically run several months to a full year and may count for up to four credits. See Missions, under Student Life and Ministry, for more information on this program. Overseas TeachingSelect upper level M.Div. students and Th.M. students are given opportunity annually to teach overseas in one of the several countries where CBTS professors serve as adjunct instructors. |
