Philadelphia Skyline

Liberty BellCalvary Baptist Theological Seminary and Calvary Baptist Church are at the intersection of Valley Forge Road and Sumneytown Pike in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Lansdale is the commercial center for a suburban area containing a population of over 350,000. The city is just forty-five minutes from center city Philadelphia where the advantages of a large metropolitan area for study, ministry, employment, and recreation are available. The Lansdale environs offer a unique blend of town and country, the result of a long history of farm communities working alongside urban centers. Beautiful, historic stone farmhouses situated picturesquely on family farms are only minutes from malls and hotels. Winding country roads for biking or walking lead away from shopping districts and commercial areas.

Gettysburg National ParkCBTS is in the midst of great historical areas. Within easy driving distance are Valley Forge Park, Independence Mall, Gettysburg, Lancaster County, Washington, D.C. and New York City, each of which have an impressive array of museums and historic sites.

From CBTS, ministries are easily launched south into Philadelphia, east into populous New Jersey, north into New York, and west into other populous suburbs. Many churches and ministries are scattered throughout the region for students to practice their classroom training.

The Seminary is two miles east of Exit 31 of the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Philadelphia's public transit system provides easy access via light rail to Center City Philadelphia, with three rail stops within a three-mile radius of the seminary.
